Letter of Torah novellae from Rav Gershon Leitch Segal Rozenbaum AB"D of טאלליא to his friend from the Ksav Sofer's yeshiva in Pressburg- Rav Kopel Reich, AB"D of Budapest.
Rav Gershon Leitch Segal Rozenbaum (5597-5661) was circumcised by the Chasam Sofer himself! A student of the Ksav Sofer and the Mahari Asad, he served as AB"D of טאלליא from 5630. Of his writings: 'Meshiv Devarim Responsa' and 'Sefer Devarim Nechochim' on Shas (HaChasam Sofer VeTalmidav, page 486, Pinkas HaMohel Chasam Sofer, Page 567).
In the Hungarian Rabbonim's approbations of sefer Meshiv Devarim Responsa, they describe him as a 'high level Tzaddik and a 'Tzaddik Yesod Olam'!
Thin greenish paper, 13x22 cm. With ink stains in center of page. Even so, all words in the letter can be read.
