WILCOX SILVER PLATE PITCHER AND SAUCE BOAT - A silver-plated water pitcher and matching sauce boat manufactured by the Wilcox Silver Plate Co. The underside of the pitcher base features two lines of text and four rectangular cartouches: the top line reads SILVERPLATE; the four cartouches contain a shield symbol, the letter S, the letter L, and a floral symbol; below this is the maker name in script reading Wilcox (photo 5). The pitcher features a pedestal foot, a rope-twist border at the shoulder, a scrolled handle, and an integrated ice guard, while the sauce boat displays a coordinating foliate-decorated handle and pedestal base.
