Larry Barton, The Morning Watch, Signed and Numbered Wood Duck Print - This work is a limited edition offset lithograph titled The Morning Watch by American wildlife artist Larry Barton. The composition features a male wood duck with colorful plumage perched on a gnarled tree trunk above a nesting hole, where a female wood duck is visible within the cavity. The scene is rendered with fine detail against a dark, atmospheric woodland background. The print is hand-signed in pencil by the artist Larry Barton in the lower right margin and hand-numbered 753/800 in pencil in the lower left margin. A plate signature and date LARRY BARTON 1980 are visible within the lower left of the image. Affixed to the reverse is a Certificate of Authenticity from Petersen Sporting Prints of Los Angeles, stating the work was reproduced on March 10, 1982, and printed by Gore Graphics using a lithography process on archival paper. The document confirms a total edition of 850 prints, including 800 numbered copies and 50 artist proofs. Also attached to the reverse is an informational sheet providing a biography of the artist and a description of the subject matter. The print is housed in a stained wood frame and is double-matted with cream and red mats under glass.
