Mid-Century Ceramic Elephant Figurines and Planters - This collection consists of an assortment of glazed ceramic elephant figurines in various poses and finishes. The group features multiple off-white to light-grey elephants with trunks raised in a traditional luck-bringing gesture, designed with open tops to serve as miniature planters or holders. These pieces show a high-gloss finish and prominent crazing. Also included is a standing grey-toned elephant with hand-painted black patches on the ears and lower legs, and a larger grey elephant figurine with pink accents to the mouth and trunk. Completing the set is a seated grey elephant with its trunk curved over its head. The pieces are typical of mid-century decorative pottery.
