The two-piece set includes a lid molded in the form of a rooster featuring a prominent comb, wattles, and a detailed tail. The rooster is seated upon a domed, ribbed section representing a nest. The base is a footed bowl with a flared, pierced openwork rim and vertical ribbing on the lower body. The underside of the base bears an embossed maker mark consisting of a capital W superimposed with a G, identifying the piece as Westmoreland Glass.
