A Pair of Westinghouse Plastic Washer and Dryer Salt and Pepper Shakers - A pair of mid-century modern novelty salt and pepper shakers produced as sales promotion items, designed in the form of miniature Westinghouse laundry appliances. The set consists of a front-loading washing machine and a clothes dryer. Each shaker is constructed of molded white plastic with a black base and two green control knobs on the upper front corners. The shaker representing the dryer features the words Clothes Dryer in cursive script on the front face. Both units are embossed with the WESTINGHOUSE name in capital letters along the upper front edge. The washing machine shaker features dispensing holes on the top surface arranged in the shape of the letter S, and the dryer shaker features holes in the shape of the letter P. Each unit features a circular dark-toned inset on the front representing the appliance door.
