Wagner National No. 9 Cast Iron Skillet - This vintage cast iron skillet is part of the National brand produced by the Wagner Manufacturing Company of Sidney, Ohio. The skillet features a standard circular form with two integrated pour spouts and a handle with a teardrop-shaped hanging hole. The base of the skillet is incised with three distinct marks: the word NATIONAL in block lettering on the left side, a stylized center mark featuring WAGNER over SIDNEY over -O-, and the pattern number 1359 B on the right side. The pattern number 1359 identifies this as a size number 9 skillet. The National line was manufactured by Wagner as a secondary, value-oriented line during the 1920s through the 1940s. The piece retains a heavy carbonized patina on the exterior surfaces.
