The work was published in London in 1785 by Alexander Hogg. The work was illustrated by Thomas Conder and included depictions of Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii, and North America. John Hamilton Moore (1738-1807) was a Scottish navigation teacher and author. He wrote one of the best travel chronicles of the era in 1778 and sold it to Alexander Hogg for publication. He included several noted voyages from James Cook, Furneaux, Magellan, Drake, Anson, Damiper, Wallis, and more. Thomas Conder (1747-1831) was an English engraver and bookseller. He produced a large amount of maps and charts. He often worked with other publishers of the era including Wilkinson, Moore, Kitchin, and Walpole.
