6 Original Watercolors of Shore or Water Birds - Included in this lot: Whooper Swan [Cygnus musicus] Northern Gannet [Sula bassana] Grey-winged Trumpeter [Psophia crepitans] Grey Heron [Ardea cinerea] Marabou Stork [Leptoptilus crumenifec] Mute Swan [Cygnus olor] Description of the work: This lovely original watercolor was done in Denmark between 1890 and 1893. The manuscript was authored and illustrated by by J. P. Nyborg. The watercolors were originally bound with hand-written titles dated and with his name (photocopy provided). The detailed illustrations were accompanied with notes on the animal and their surroundings (included when possible). Nyborg's manuscript described birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
