It was published in Paris in 1780. Jacques Grasset de Saint-Sauveur (1757-1810) was a French diplomat and author. He was born in Montreal, New France to a diplomat, and came to Paris in 1764 to study under the Jesuits before becoming a diplomat and later a writer.
