Jean Louis Prevost (1760-1810) was a renowned botanical artist. He studied under Jean Jacque Bachelier in Paris. He created one of the most exquisite French botanical works, Collection des Fleurs et des Fruits . He often had his work exhibited in the Paris Salon and was a member of the Academie de Saint Luc.
