Heron - A New Map of Scotland from the best Authorities, 1795
This historic map engraving is from Robert Heron's A New and Complete System of Universal Geography. The work was published in 1796 in Edinburgh by R. Morison & Son.

Robert Heron (1764-1807) was a Scottish writer. He attended the University of Edinburgh in 1780 where he supported his studies working for booksellers. He went to jail as a debtor, but released when he began to write History of Scotland.

The work is in good to excellent condition overall. Some of the engravings in the work will have some faint toning or minor separation at the folds. There can be some very light offset, fox marks or toned spots. There may be a few minor imperfections due to age. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
