Maindron's Les programmes illustres - Volume with 63 Lithographs - This splendidly illustrated volume with 63 lithographed plates is Ernest Maindron's Les programmes illustrés des théâtres et des cafés-concerts. Menus, cartes d'invitation, petites estampes, etc. The work was published in Paris by Nilsson in 1897. Ernest Maindron were highly influential in the development and publication of poster art. The volume is bound in green publisher's cloth with gold gilt details. Thirty-seven of the sixty-three plates were done as chromolithographs. The images are after various artists including Ibels, Chéret, Willette, Roubille, Guillaume, Caran d'Ache, Toulouse-Lautrec, and De Feure. The preface was by Pierre Veber.
