Traduite de l'Italien, et précédée d'une introduction, par L. de Sevelinges or History of the War for Independence of the United States of America. Translated from Italian, and preceded by an introduction, by L. de Sevelinges . This is the first French edition of the work published in Paris between 1812 and 1813. The volumes are bound in contemporary full-cal with gilt spines. They contain an engraved portrait and 12 folding engraved maps. The work was considered the best source of history for the Revolution up to that point.
