Brookshaw - 7 Pear Lithographs - This charming fruit lithograph is from George Brookshaw's The Horticultural Repository containing Delineations of the Best Varieties of the Different Species of English Fruits . The work was published in London by Sherwood, Jones, and Co. between 1820 and 1823. The work was issued as a periodical and completed in July 1823. Brookshaw dies in 1823 and the final editor noted in the preface that ”It is hoped... that the present work... will... form a suitable monument to [Brookshaw's] genius and talent.”
