The great historical work of Elias Auerbach (1882-1971) who was a biblical scholar, historian as well as a doctor in Haifa at the beginning of the twentieth century. The first volume: A history of Israel from its beginning to the death of Solomon. The second volume: from the death of Solomon to Ezra and Nehemiah. At the end of each volume there are many plates with photographs, mostly in black and white, as well as maps of the Land of Israel. There is a folding color map in a pouch at the end of each volume. Hard covers.
German, 287 + 307 pp., 27X19 cm. Overall good condition, defects in covers, rust spots.
