Two volumes in album format, from Nazi Germany, published following the 1936 Winter Olympics in the city of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The books include many photographs in black and white and color, including a photograph of Hitler in the audience, a portrait of the founder of the modern games Pierre de Coubertin, and many pictures of the athletes in the various sports. There is also an overview, accompanied by color photos, of the various Olympics starting from Athens 1896 and a folding color map of the grounds.
German, 128 + 168 pages, 31X24 cm. First volume in good condition with rust stains; Volume II in fair condition with stains and tears on the cover. Hard covers.
