Extermination of Polish Jews - Rare Picture Album - Lodz 1945
Central Jewish Historical Committee in Poland, Lodz, 1945.
An album with 252 photos released immediately after the end of the war. The photos document the Jews of Poland at various stages of the Nazi extermination machine, from the ghettos, through the trains to the extermination camps. Many of the shocking photos were taken by the Germans themselves. Alongside this are also pictures from the life of the partisans, pictures of the Jews who survived the liberation, and drawings of the Sobibor and Belzec extermination camps. With a text by Dr. Philip Friedman, a Polish-Jewish historian and Holocaust survivor.
