Marx Series 1000 Battle of the Blue and Gray Playset in Original Box 4746 - Marx Series 1000 Battle of the Blue and Gray Playset in Original Box, Set Number 4746. The set has lots of original parts and pieces as well as a number of additional figures from the Heritage playsets. The wagons are nice but the brown harness is broken on the outside pieces, comes with an extra set of horses and harness. The exploding bunker is missing the trigger piece. Comes with two trench mortars and several cannons, four flag bases, poles and flags, fallen horse and rider in cream, sprue parts and some cannon shells. The house is missing but the metal wire piece that keeps the sides straight is here. Comes with original and Heritage character figures and with most or all of the original bags and original instruction sheet in fair to excellent condition. The original box is in very nice shape with the original dividers but does have a couple inner repairs. It has a price tag from Kaufman-Straus Co. Louisville, Ky. for originally $4.98 but reduced to $4.66.
