Rare high grade Franz Pfannl boar grip 2mm pinfire pistol. This tiny little guy measures at 1 3/4 inches long and is in exceptional condition. It can be found in The Tiniest Guns written by Bob Urso Vol. 3 page 10 as example A1. It matches this description exactly and I will now describe exactly what is satated in the book. Repousse grips stamped on thin brass- nickel or silver plated. An early pistol with hunting theme. One side shows a wild boar, the other a hunting dog chasing a deer. The pointed hammer and trigger suggest an early gun. Above, a crisply stamped, dog/deer grip. On the left rim you can see the tops of the initials FP which stands for the name of the designer of this gun, and the father of Berloque pistols Franz Franois Pfannl. Above is a close-up of yet another boar head grip with the FP (circled) (intended for the person looking at the book to see the photo which would match ourphoto number 10). On the edge of the other grip is what appears to be the word PAT followed by a few undecipherable letters. This can be seen in our photo number 9.
