Two vintage Civil War era Socket type bayonets - Two vintage Civil War era Socket type bayonets, first measures 21 1/2 inches from the tip of the blade to the end of the socket, it is labeled 26 with a hallmark that looks like the letter V in a shield on one side, has a serial number of 4828, the other measures 19 1/2 inches from the tip to the end of the socket, it is engraved with US with 10 dots below it, both are in excellent condition, the US marked one does not have a lock collar.
