Lionel postwar O Santa Fe 2333 F-3 AA diesel locomotive - Lionel postwar O Santa Fe 2333 F-3 AA diesel locomotive set in master carton. Powered unit is exceptionally nice with red GM decals above the BUILT BY LIONEL at the rear and has silver rear steps, black thumb screw on the battery cover and X inside the top rear of the shell. The nose decal has some flaking but the unit is in overall C7+ condition. The dummy unit has a correct shell with similar red GM decals but has black rear steps. the shell has a crack in the nose due to the thin mounting post that was part of the early shells. this also is very clean and has some box rubs and flaking nose decals as seen in the photos. Comes with a 1949 master carton that has a glue repaired flap and mostly complete label on the opened end. The corrugated 2333O-SF box is a brick and dated 1948, it does have some graffiti on one of the open end flaps. The 2333T box is a three cities example that is missing the tuck flap from one end but is otherwise very nice and presentable. Both boxes have their original inserts. Includes original instruction sheet Form 2333-146 4-49 as well as Form 926-25 lubricating instructions.
