Extreme Rarity! Hagada Shel Pesach with the explanation of the Chasam Sofer, first edition Lvov, 1850.
This is the first rare edition of the Hagada with the explanation of the Chasam Sofer. It includes the signature of the Baal Nefesh Tova of Chust.
It was printed in Lvov in 1850. This is the second Sefer of the Chasam Sofer to be published.
Ancient Haggados in general, are rare Judaic articles due to heavy usage during meals with wine and food. Many collectors have a special connection to Hagados, attributable to their great love of the Leil Haseder. Specifically Hagados as rare and holy as this one.
It is bound in a beautiful new leather binding.
There is a signature on the front page: This Sefer belongs to Pinchas Naftali Schwartz of Chust.
He was known as Baal Nefesh Tova. The introduction to the Sefer contains a wonderful story about him and Maharam Schick, which indicates his greatness.
