The Talis of the Rabbi of Satmar, with its original silver Atarah and the Tzitizis

The holy Talis of the Tzadik Hador Rabeinu Yoel of Satmar.

Experts in the field of antiquities have testified that a sacred item such as this, belonging to the Rabbi of Satmar has not been available for sale for decades, making it highly sought-after and expensive.

The special Mitzvos of Tzitzis and Talis are known to be commandments directly from the Torah. The sanctity and holiness of these Mitzvos and their ability to protect and rescue from evil and harm are immeasurable.

Trusted source: The Talis shel Mitzvah was given to one of the close people by the Rebbetzin Alta Faiga in 1971.

For the thousands of Satmar Chassidim in particular and the members of the Chassidic world at large, it is unnecessary to describe the magnitude of the importance of an object that was used for a Mitzvah. Especially an object such as this Talis was used for fiery Tefilos by a person like a Malach Elokim.

The Admor Rabbi Yoel of Satmar (1887-1979), author of the Divrei Yoel, was the leader of the post-Holocaust Chassidic renaissance. A brilliant and pious scholar, he was fluent in all realms of Torah and renowned for his firm opposition against Zionism and modernity.

In 1925, he was appointed Rav in Karoly and remained there until 1934 when he relocated to Satmar. Following the Holocaust, he reestablished the majestic Chassidic court of Satmar both in the United States and Eretz Yisrael and served as Nasi of the Eidah Chareidis in Jerusalem.
