Mikneh Avraham-Venice 1523 with its magnificent original leather binding - Sefer Mikneh Avraham, on Dikduk, from the physician and translator Rabbi Avraham de Balmes. Printed in Venice, 1523, by Daniel Bomberg Press. The Sefer contains text written in both Hebrew and Latin, with each page showing one language. It is believed that the translation was carried out by Klonimus, the son of Dovid Klonimus, who also authored the final section of the Sefer ”Shaar Btamei Hamikra”. It was Klonimus who brought the Sefer to print. A Latin poem is printed in the Sefer on the back of the cover in honor of Daniel Bomberg, who wrote a Latin introduction to the Sefer. The author also extolls Bomberg's praise. Along with this edition, a Hebrew-only edition was printed. The body of the text has almost the same alphabetical order, but here, each line is numbered. The Sefer is in a beautifully preserved condition with its original leather and wood binding featuring intricate decorations and buckles. Please refer to the Hebrew description before bidding for exact details and conditions.
