The Sefer Ohr Yisroel, written by the Kozhnitzer Magid and first printed in Chernowitz in 1862, is a significant work on Tikunei Zohar. The author, Rabbi Yisroel Hopstien, was a highly respected and renowned figure known for his contributions to Chassidus in Poland.
He was considered a giant in Torah and an innovative and insightful scholar. Among his distinguished teachers were Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk, the Magid of Mezritch and Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Bardichov. He began teaching in Koznitz in 1765 and rapidly gained a reputation as one of the most prominent rabbis in Poland. Rabbi Hopstien authored numerous works on various aspects of Torah.
Excellent condition. The original cover is detached and it is without a spine.
