Speeches of the Ran, Prague 1811 with the signature of Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Segal Landau of Kempna - The Drashos Haran consists of twelve sermons written by Rabbi Nissim Girondi, one of the most prominent Rabbis of his generation and the leader of the Sephardic community. Prague, 1811. This document features the signature of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Segal Landau of Kempna. He was the son of the famous Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Yona Landau of Kempna, who wrote the sefer Mein Habrachos. At the young age of 15, Rabbi Yosef edited his father's book to prepare it for printing, and even contributed a poem to it. From a young age, he sat on his father's throne. Some members of the community opposed this appointment because he was young. However, Rabbi Akiva Eiger supported the appointment and stood at his side firmly, noting that the great men of the generation were extolling his praise. Despite suffering from illness and pain throughout his life, he remained Rabbi until his untimely death at the age of 37. Excellent condition, with no binding.
