Maginei Shlomo, Amsterdam - 1715 copy of Rabbi Moshe Bruda and Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Halberstadt - I have a complete copy of the Sefer 'Maginei Shlome' on Shas that was printed in Amsterdam in the year 1716. It was authored by the Gaon Hador, Rabbi Yehoshua Karaka, and printed with the consent of 'Vad Arba Aratzos' and other greats of the generation. In the book's introduction, it is written that the author used to tell his students about a dream where the holy Rashi came to him. Rashi expressed his gratitude for saving him from the ”lions and fierce warriors who are the Baalei Hatosfos”. In return, Rashi promised to come to the author in the next world with all his disciples. This book became a cornerstone and was loved by all the greats of the generation, and over the generations. The author was the grandfather of the 'Pnei Yehoshua', and his grandchild quotes him in his Sefer many times. On the cover page of this important copy, lists were found with the following words: This book belongs to the venerated Rabbi Moshe Bruda, who is known for his great knowledge of Torah and Chasidus.
