Post Medieval Silver Hawking Whistle - Hallmarked 1906 A small silver hawking whistle with tapering shaft, bulb and suspension ring; hallmarked with a lion passant, sword among sheaves (Chester) and script 'F' (1906), maker's mark 'C.H.' for Charles Horner of Mile Cross, Halifax & Frederick Street, Birmingham. 3.05 grams, 32mm (1 1/4”). Fine condition. Provenance Property of a gentleman; acquired in the 1970s.
