Roman Grand Tour Gold Pendant with Victory - 18th-19th century AD An ellipsoid finely carved nicolo showing Victory standing with wings folded, right hand fastening her chiton at her shoulder, a serpent at her feet, mounted in a gold cell with filigree rim and ribbed suspension loop. 3.32 grams, 31mm (1 1/4”). Very fine condition. Provenance Property of a London gentleman; acquired London art market, 1970-1980.
