European Gilt Silver Ring with Knight - 17th-18th century AD A substantial silver-gilt finger ring comprising a broad hoop with chamfered rims, band of graduated reserved saltires to the outer face, raised discoid bezel with four radiating lobes each with a reserved cross to the upper face, pointillé border enclosing a horseman with conical helm and spear with pennon amid starburst motifs. 33.2 grams, 28mm overall, 19.64mm internal diameter (approximate size British T, USA 9 3/4, Europe 21.67, Japan 20) (1”).
