Indus Valley Terracotta Bull Figure - 2nd millennium BC A small ceramic bull figurine with muscular body and short legs, painted details in black, incised eyes and nostrils. 50.6 grams, 73mm (3”). Fine condition. [No Reserve] Provenance Ex North London gentleman; previously in the private collection of the late David Gold, formed 1980-1990s. Footnotes David Gold amassed a sizeable collection of Indus Valley pottery, both vessels and figurative during his retirement, a plaque to David and his brother was recently unveiled by Westminster Council above 43 Carnaby Street, commemorating their business that made Carnaby Street synonymous with fashion in the 1960s.
