Gandharan Plaque with Lion's Head - 1st-4th century AD A gesso architectural panel with chamfered upper edge and ledge below, facing lion mask with cupped ears, broad face, half-closed eyes, wide mouth, traces of pink and ochre pigment. 2.1 grams, 16cm (10 1/4”). Fine condition, repaired. Provenance Property of a London gentleman; from his father's collection formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
