Indian Elephant Statuette - 1st millennium AD A bronze model elephant on a stepped rectangular base hollow to the underside; standing with trunk recurved to the brow, harness to the flanks and mahout seated with legs astride the neck. 371 grams, 10cm (4”). Fine condition; mahout's head absent. Provenance Property of a London gentleman; from his father's collection formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
