Gandharan Figural Frieze Section with Crouching Atlas
2nd-4th century AD
A schist frieze fragment with high-relief figure of Atlas crouching on a base ledge, right hand raised in support, wings spread to the rear. 2.37 kg, 17.5cm (6 7/8"). Fair condition.

Property of a London collector, acquired early 1990s.
