Gandharan Bearded Head - 2nd-4th century AD A carved schist frieze fragment comprising a male head with turban, large pellet eyes, triangular nose and luxuriant beard; angled lock to the rear; mounted on a custom-made stand. 278 grams, 15.5cm with stand (6”). Fine condition, repaired. Provenance Property of a London gentleman; from his father's collection formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
