Roman Horse Brooch - 2nd century AD A bronze zoomorphic brooch with the bow formed as the body and legs of a horse, transverse bar beneath the hindlegs with hinged pin, body with stylised saddle and ridged neck, cell to accept enamel(?) to each shoulder, pierced eye. 19 grams, 49mm (2”).
