Roman Crossbow Brooch - 3rd-4th century AD A bronze crossbow brooch comprising three grape-shaped hexagonal-section knops each with beaded collar, hexagonal-section crossbar with loops to the upper face, deep trapezoidal-section bow with beaded lower edge, rectangular footplate with lateral chamfers, catch to the reverse. 60 grams, 80mm (3 1/4”).
