Greek Gnathian Ribbed Oinochoe - 5th-3rd century BC A bulbous blackware oinochoe with pedestal foot, D-section strap handle, pinched rim and vertically ribbed body; band of vineleaf ornament in ochre to the neck. 160 grams, 16.3cm (6 1/2”). Fine condition. Provenance From a Swedish private collection; formerly from the estate of a deceased British North Country collector, acquired over a 30 year period from the early 1970s.
