Greek Gnathian Trefoil-Mouth Oinochoe - 5th-3rd century BC A blackware oinochoe with barrel-shaped body, pedestal base, narrow neck with pinched trefoil rim, strap handle to the rear; radiating ochre strokes to the shoulder, bands of chevron and scrolled ochre lines. 206 grams, 13.4cm (5 1/4”). Fine condition. Provenance From a Swedish private collection; formerly from the estate of a deceased British North Country collector, acquired over a 30 year period from the early 1970s.
