ANTIQUE PERSIAN TABRIZ PICTORIAL HAND KNOTTED RUNNER – 3.5 x 9.9, 104cm x 297cm - Antique Persian Tabriz pictorial runner was hand knotted in Iran of 100% natural wool and has a cotton foundation. The rug is 90+ years old, has medium wool piles and is in excellent condition for its age. Beautiful colors with excellent quality. This rug is showing signs of abrash (fading) due to the use of antiquated vegetable dyes. There are several birds and tigers woven into this rug. No holes or repairs, nice and soft. This rug was acquired from an established rug merchant. Clean and ready to be enjoyed. Recent embargoes by the U.S. against Iranian goods should cause the value of these rugs to increase.
