Walter Lantz Productions Woody Woodpecker Hole in One Certified Serigraph Cel - This framed serigraph cel depicts the character Woody Woodpecker engaged in a game of golf, titled Hole in One. Frame measures 20 1/2 by 18 1/2 inches. The composition shows Woody in a mid-swing follow-through, dressed in a green shirt, blue overalls, and yellow-trimmed shoes, holding a gray-headed golf club. Above him, a brown gopher character emerges from a golf hole, holding a dimpled white golf ball, positioned next to a yellow flagstick featuring two stylized eyes. The artwork is characterized by flat, vibrant color areas and crisp black outlines consistent with the serigraph process. A circular certification mark is printed in black in the lower right corner. The mark consists of a double-lined circle containing a facsimile signature that reads Walter Lantz. Between the signature and the lower edge of the circle are the words PRODUCTIONS INC., 1997, and CERTIFIED. The word SERIGRAPH CEL is printed along the upper interior curve of the circle. The cel is mounted against a plain white background and is housed in a contemporary black wooden frame with a black inner mat border. The reverse of the frame features a brown paper dust cover and a metal hanging wire.
