Sonia Gilbert Signed and Numbered Intaglio Print Coup de coeur 253/500 - A signed and numbered limited-edition intaglio print by Canadian artist Sonia Gilbert, titled Coup de coeur. The artwork features four arched window compositions, each depicting a different season within a cityscape characterized by historic fortifications and architecture reminiscent of Quebec City. The spring window features daffodils and irises; the summer window shows daisies and lush green foliage; the autumn window displays hydrangeas and turning leaves; and the winter window portrays a snow-covered scene with red geraniums. The central images are surrounded by deep plate embossing that creates a structural, architectural border. Above the arches are four rectangular panels with stained-glass style floral and botanical motifs including lily of the valley, a sunflower, grapes, and pine cones. The certificate details the technical specifications including the use of eight copper and four lino plates. The print is professionally housed in a gold-toned mottled frame with a red and white double mat.
