900 silver coin. Mikveh Israel, Independence Day coin 1970. 22 years of the State of Israel. Face value: 10 Israeli pounds, diameter: 37 mm, weight: 26 grams.
''מקוה ישראל'', מטבע יום העצמאות תש"ל, כ"ב למדינה, 1970
"כל ישראל חברים" (כי"ח, אליאנס איזראליט) נוסד בפריס בשנת 1860. היה זה הארגון היהודי הבינלאומי הראשון שנועד להיאבק באנטישמיות ובאפליה חברתית. במקביל לפעולתו המדינית קיבל כי"ח על עצמו הקמת רשת חינוך יסודי במרחב הגיאוגרפי ממרוקו עד פרס, שבו היו שרויות קהילות יהודיות רבות בבערות ובעוני. ביוזמתו של קרל נטר נוסד בשנת 1870 בית הספר החקלאי הראשון בארץ-ישראל, להכשרת דור של יהודים שידעו להתפרנס בכבוד מעבודת האדמה.
פני המטבע:
במרכז למעלה, הערך הנקוב "10 לירות ישראליות", יותר למטה – הבניין המרכזי של מקוה ישראל, ושנות יובל המאה "תר"ל – תש"ל 1870-1970". על השפה למטה המילה "ישראל" בעברית, בערבית ובאותיות לטיניות. דגם מסוגנן של שיבולת סוגר את הקומפוזיציה מצד שמאל.
גב המטבע:
משמאל, למעלה, "מאה שנים למקוה ישראל". מתחת לזה, לרוחב שדה המטבע, דגם מסוגנן של מחרשה. על השפה, למטה, "כל ישראל חברים".
היקף: "שנת כ"ב למדינת ישראל" במטבע הרגיל – בכיוון הגב, בקשוט - בכיוון הפנים.
סימן טביעה: האות "מ" על גב המטבע הקשוט, מימין למחרשה.
עיצוב: שלמה רותם.
מיטבעה:
רגיל – מיטבעת קרצ'מר בירושלים.
קשוט – המיטבעה הפדרלית השוויצרית בברן.
