W. H. Baker Side-by-Side Percussion Flintlock Shotgun with 34 Inch Barrel Antique - This lot features a side-by-side percussion-cap muzzleloading flint lock shotgun manufactured by W. H. Baker, accompanied by two wooden cleaning or ramrod components. Very good condition, the flintlock mechanisms work as they should the scroll engraving detail is in good condition .The firearm is designed for black powder and features a long barrel 34-inch twist-steel barrels, resulting in a total length of approximately 50 inches. The dark walnut stock is equipped with a checkered wrist and a checkered forend for improved handling. Key markings include the manufacturer name W. H. Baker engraved on the side lock plates amidst decorative scrollwork, while the top rib of the barrels is inscribed LONDON Fine Twist. Further engraving is visible on the hammers, the tang, and the trigger guard. The shotgun is built with double triggers and a metal buttplate all in good working order. The wood components show various signs of historical use including small indentations and surface scratches throughout the stock.
