Saint Paul. - Three volumes of French religious scholarship, comprising two volumes of Entretiens sur l'Eglise Catholique by L'Abbe Henri Perreyve and one volume of Saint Paul: ses dernieres annees by C. Fouard. The books are bound in matching three-quarter brown leather with marbled paper boards and gilded top edges. The spines are decorated with gilt-tooled floral motifs, ruled lines, and titled in gold. The Perreyve work is identified as a Quatrieme Edition (Fourth Edition) published in Paris by Ancienne Maison Charles Douniol (P. Tequi) in 1901. The interior title page of the Perreyve volume features a blue circular ink stamp reading ST. ANDREW-ON-HUDSON LIBRARY POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. indicating ex-libris provenance. The volumes are in octavo format with rough-cut page edges.
