A Trio of Antique Whitall Tatum and Company Glass Apothecary Bottles - A set of three antique American apothecary bottles constructed from clear glass. Each vessel features a recessed front panel housing a reverse-painted under-glass label decorated with gold and black borders and stylized corner motifs. The largest bottle is labeled AQ. ROSAE (Aqua Rosae, or Rose Water). The medium-sized bottle is labeled CRETA-PEPS. (likely Pepsinated Chalk). The smallest bottle is labeled ANT. POT. TART. (Antimonii et Potassii Tartras, or Tartar Emetic). Each bottle is accompanied by a ground-glass stopper. An embossed circular mark is present on the base of each bottle, featuring the readable characters W. T. & CO. U. S. A. which identifies the manufacturer as Whitall Tatum and Company. They have cracks, chips, one stopper is severely broken. May or may not have chips or cracks. Largest bottle measures approximately 10.75 inches in height including the stopper and 4 inches in width. Medium bottle measures approximately 8.5 inches in height including the stopper and 2.75 inches in width. Smallest bottle measures approximately 7.25 inches in height including the stopper and 2.25 inches in width.
