H. B. W. Porter Bronze Nude Female Figure with Frog - A bronze sculpture depicting a standing female nude in a contemplative pose, resting one knee and her hands against a rugged, naturalistic rocky outcrop. The figure gazes downward toward a small frog located at the bottom right of the base. The piece is finished in a dark chocolate-brown patina, showing typical verdigris oxidation in the deeper crevices and within the hollowed interior of the base. The sculpture is cast as a single unit with its base, the underside of which shows remnants of a brown felt covering that is now mostly worn away, revealing a mottled green-oxidized interior surface. An incised signature is visible along the rear edge of the base, transcribed as © H. B. W. P o r t e r. 8.5 x 6 inches.
