American Studio Artisan Handcrafted Exotic Wood Box with Spalted Wood Inlay - A rectangular, handcrafted wooden box featuring a dark, straight-grained wood body with a reddish tone. The hinged lid is constructed with mitered corners and decorative wood splines, inset with a rectangular panel of spalted maple displaying characteristic dark, irregular lines. A small, curved handle made of dark, figured wood is fixed to the front edge of the lid. The interior is lined with a dark reddish-brown velvet-textured fabric and includes a brass-toned metal lid stay. The underside consists of a light-colored wood panel with four circular dark grey felt pads at the corners. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the object.
