Antique Eureka Three-Drawer Wooden Spool Cabinet - This is an antique three-drawer spool cabinet, originally used as a retail display chest for sewing thread. The cabinet is constructed of wood with a stained finish and features a slightly overhanging top and a molded base. Each of the three drawers is fitted with two white porcelain knobs and features gold-toned stenciled lettering on the front. The top drawer is stenciled MACHINE TWIST, the middle drawer is stenciled EUREKA, and the bottom drawer is stenciled 100 YD SPOOLS. The rear panel displays visible dovetail joinery at the corners. A circular black ink stamp is present on the back panel; the characters on the top curved line are partially illegible, starting with W. H. C. followed by a faded name and & CO. The middle line reads WAREHAM ST. and the bottom line reads BOSTON. Width: Approximately 20 1/4 inches Height: Approximately 10 3/4 inches.
